Quentin Skinner Lecture and Colloquium 2017 - Sophie Smith

The Quentin Skinner Fellow for 2016-17 is Dr Sophie Smith, University Lecturer in Politics and Fellow of University College, Oxford: her lecture will be on the theme of 'The nature of Politics. Political Science in Early Modern England'. The lecture and the accompanying colloquium will take place on Friday 9 June 2017, in the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Cambridge.  Full details of the lecture and the colloquium will be published here as soon as they are available.

A major conference on this subject will take place in Christ’s College, Cambridge on 20 June 2017. A major conference on this theme will be held under the auspices of the Centre for Political Thought at Clare College, Cambridge, on 10-11 May 2018. The conference will address the ways in which political philosophers have engaged with concepts of time and the evidence of history. Booking details will be available here in Sept 2017.
