WORKSHOP ON MELISSA LANE'S CARLYLE LECTURES
Friday 26 January 2.30pm - 4pm, Latimer Room, Clare College

Professor Melissa Lane (Princeton University, formerly University Lecturer in the History of Political Thought here in Cambridge) is giving this year's Carlyle Lectures in Oxford, on the subject:

'Constitutions before Constitutionalism: Classical Greek ideas of Office and Rule'

A Workshop to discuss Professor Lane's first two lectures will be held in Cambridge on Friday 26 January 2018, between 2.30 and 4pm in the Latimer Room, Old Court, Clare College. 

Copies of the lectures will be available in advance to those wishing to attend. Professor Lane will introduce the lectures, and Professor Malcolm Schofield has kindly agreed to give an opening comment. This will be followed by open discussion.

All who are interested are welcome to attend and participate. So that we can gauge numbers (incl. for tea afterwards), please email Prof. John Robertson (jcr57@cam.ac.uk) if you intend to come. Copies of the lectures will be circulated to those who plan to attend.
